Give the Bluetooth signal a reasonable path.

A Shipzik label broadcasts a Bluetooth signal that a nearby Hubble terrestrial receiver can detect. It does not determine its own GPS position. Packaging and surroundings influence whether that signal reaches a receiver, while receiver availability determines whether there is anyone nearby to hear it.

Moving a label cannot create network coverage. It can help you evaluate whether the package itself is making reception harder. Understand coverage and reported accuracy before comparing locations.

Choose a practical surface.

Do not assume an adhesive or an exposed label will suit every temperature, liquid exposure, or surface. Check the label instructions for the conditions you plan to use it in.

Should the label go inside or outside the box?

An exterior position may reduce the material between the label and a receiver, but it is also more exposed to handling. An interior position offers protection, while the contents and packaging may make reception harder. Neither is universally best.

For an equipment case, compare a protected external flat surface with your intended internal position. For a carton, test it packed as shipped, not just empty on a desk. Keep the label attached to the item or packaging you actually need to follow.

Run a small placement test.

  1. Use representative packaging and contents.
  2. Compare two practical positions under similar conditions.
  3. Record known stops, detection times, and gaps.
  4. Repeat on a real journey, including the loaded vehicle and destination.

Rotate the package and include the way it will be stacked. A detection in an open room does not establish performance inside a loaded metal trailer. This is a testing approach, not a claim that either position has been field-validated for your shipment.

After you attach it

Confirm activation in Shipzik and keep the item name and reference recognizable. If updates are missing, check activation and service status before changing placement. Follow the missing-updates checklist.
