Keep your carrier tracking number.

A tracking number connects you to the carrier’s shipment record. Available information can include processing events, transit updates, delivery estimates, and delivery confirmation. Exactly what appears depends on the carrier and service.

A tracking label does not replace the shipping label or the carrier’s delivery record. You still buy postage and follow the carrier’s instructions.

Add visibility around the item.

Shipzik associates a physical Bluetooth label with an item in your account. When the network detects it, you can view the reported location and time. This is a separate source of information from carrier scans.

For example, a team shipping an equipment case can keep its carrier tracking number, name the item in Shipzik, add a photo, and share its Shipzik tracking link with a customer.

Give each update the right meaning.

A gap in detections does not by itself mean an item is lost. It may reflect receiver availability, placement, or surroundings. Likewise, a detection near a destination does not establish that someone received the item.

Build a simple customer handoff.

  1. Send the carrier tracking number for delivery information.
  2. Share the Shipzik link for the item’s detected locations.
  3. Choose email alerts for the customer, if they want updates.

Outside recipients can open a Shipzik tracking link without creating an account. Account owners control shared history, and sharing can be turned off.
